By: Hannah Oreskovich

Back in January, we gave you a glimpse into Spain’s alt-rock scene through the eyes of guitar-heavy four-piece Sarajevo ‘84. Formed in 2014 in Granada, the band’s sound “primarily consists of rock with an emphasis on grunge, as well as elements of punk rock and indie rock”. You can read more about our intro feature on the group here, but it’s time now for a catchup! Sarajevo ‘84 recently dropped some new tunage- check out the deets:

After winning a contest put on by Valencia’s The Open Stage, an organization dedicated to supporting local music, Sarajevo ‘84 was offered the chance to record an original song and live-performance music video for a track of their choice. The band settled on their catchy anthem, “I Don’t Wanna Stay” and dropped the new song + its video earlier this month.

Watch Sarajevo ‘84’s music video for “I Don’t Wanna Stay”:

The music video for “I Don’t Wanna Stay” features members Andres Martinez (vocals/guitar), Victor Rojas (bass), Juan Marin (guitar), and Ivan Garcia (drums) rocking out in the rooftops of Spain. It was recorded with Sara Otero and Mario Peris, with sound by Pedro Sillero and Juan Marin for The Open Stage, which has other live music sessions recorded that you can peep here.

Sarajevo ‘84 are pumped to have some new music out as the summer draws to a close, and have plans for a fall tour. Check out more from the band here.
