Music Video Release: Father John Misty's "The Night Josh Tillman Came To Our Apartment"

FJM's new video is twisted, twisted in all of the best sarcastic ways.

Father John Misty was one of my favorite shows of the 2015 concert season. I saw him back in April at the Ogden Theatre in Denver and it was a rock’n’roll worship service dripping with satire and sex, which you can read more about here.

Last Friday, FJM dropped a video for his track “The Night Josh Tillman Came To Our Apartment,” a sarcastic and loathing bit about (what else?) a woman. But more specifically, a pretentious, insufferable “white girl” who fuels her boredom with drugs and a meaningless tryst with Tillman. Ironically, and only adding to the persona he’s created for Father John Misty, Tillman actually stars in the video as both himself, and the woman he detests so much. J. Tillman is one sardonic beast, and I love every bit of it. Watch the video here:
