Want to to slide behind-the-scenes of Spotify? Or meet the man behind our The UMS interview, Director Kendall Smith? Curious about navigating management, promotion, and booking? Then check out CU’s Colorado Music Industry Conference happening this Sunday, December 4th at The University Memorial Center, Room 235 from 12PM-4PM.

CMIC creator Krista Barry told us, “The University of Colorado Boulder lacks a Music Industry Program, so it's important that we provide our student music community with events like this as an opportunity to learn and network with music industry leaders. We have confirmed some of the best Colorado music professionals to speak from all ends of the music industry, from Don Strasburg, the Co-President of AEG Live, to CU Denver graduate Austin Kramer, Global Head of EDM at Spotify. It should be a really inspiring and informative event for anyone with an interest in music.”

We dig.

Speakers of the day will include the aforementioned Austin Kramer of Global Head of Dance & Electronic Music at Spotify, Don Strasburg the Co-President of AEG Live Rocky Mountains, and Kendall Smith the Director of The Underground Music Showcase (UMS), along with Bodie Johnson the founder of BackForty Management and Ben Baruch of 11E1even Management and Co-Owner of

The event is free; RSVP here. Some of our BolderBeat contributors will be there, so come say hello!
