Brass House trio Too Many Zooz are making their way back to Colorado for their second run this year, and are slated for shows at The Bluebird Theater Thursday, September 7th and Friday, September 8th.
Comprised of baritone saxophone prodigy Leo Pellegrino, trumpeter Matt Doe and percussionist David "King of Sludge" Parks, the NYC three-piece first made waves busking in subway stations in 2014. They’ve released four EPs since then, and last summer, dropped their first full-length record Subway Gawdz. The trio manages to blend jazz, EDM, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and funk into one boogie-down sound that even caught the attention of Beyoncé, who had the trio guest on her Lemonade tour.
Recently, the band premiered their new video for their song “Bedford,” which was filmed where the band began their whirlwind of success: in an NYC subway.
Make sure to snag tickets to one of Too Many Zooz upcoming Colorado shows; keep up with the energetic trio here.
